COOKIES

The law about electronic communication is valid from July 25 2003. According to that law a person visiting a web site should be informed about what cookies are and how their use can be restricted.
A cookie is a small text file with information aimed at improving the visit at a web site. This text file is placed at the users computer.

There are two kinds of cookies – permanent and temporary. At the ISIS web site only temporary session cookies are normally used. They are used for example to allow logging in at our Partner pages. Only if the user selects "remember me" is a permanent cookie saved. The cookie disappears when the visit is ended. No personal information is stored on cookies and information about the visitor can not be traced.

Those who does not accept the use of cookies can change the settings of their web browser so that is does not allow cookies. It is possible to set the browser so that it will only allow session cookies or only cookies from isis.se.
General information about cookies and the new law can be found at the web site of Post- och telestyrelsen.
